Foodie #13 : Sushi King RM3 Bonanza

It's that sushi om noms noms time of the year again!
Sushi King RM3 Bonanza Feast =)
This time for Sabah, it fell on 7th Oct'13 - 10th Oct'13.

Good thing Howey is craving for some sushi feast so we decided to go together after work on a fine Wednesday evening.
Check out the waiting list outside of Sushi King Citymall.
It's Wednesday night and I thought people would rather go for movie than eating, but guessed it's not. LOL.

Both of us do not have the Sushi King member card so I borrowed one from my dearest colleague, Sherry.
One thing about this Sushi King Bonanza is the deal is only made available for their members with the Sushi King card.
I think it's about time I go and apply one for myself.

We both waited for around 20-30 minutes outside and we seriously cannot wait to be seated inside.
I was very hungry at that moment I can even smell the sushi from outside, hahaha.

When we are finally going in, I was very satisfied they gave us seats near to the Sushi Belt and especially the chef counter.
So we can actually see what are they going to serve next and probably be the first to get all the good stuffs, hehehe!

Look at all these mouth watering sushisssss on the moving belt.

Sushi King RM 3 Bonanza available in Perak, Penang, kedah and Sabah during 7th - 10th Oct 2013.

Both me and Howey aim for all Red, Purple and Pink plates because they are more worth the prices.

Tada! Showing a photo of us enjoying om nom nom sushi.
LOLed at our extremely-tired-after-work-faces.

We tried to eat as much as we could.
But in the end when I calculated, it's only 15 plates. LOL.
Owh well it succeed in satisfying our hungry stomachs anyway.
And we get to update each other and chit chat a little about life.
45 minutes of dinner time well spent tonight I must say =)

Let's get together again in the next Sushi King Bonanza!

Foodie #12 : Pregio Barrista Cafe Metrotown

Hola hola to all the lovely babes out there!!
This is a Triple-K Sisters first outing post and we are looking forward to more of these in the future =)

It was a very hot afternoon and we have decided to go try out the newly opened Pregio Barrista Cafe in Metrotown.
I am not a coffee lover due to my migraine sickness, I couldn't take any chocolate or coffee contained food =(
Anyway, I won't let anything be an exception to visit this place!

We promised to meet at 12:30 p.m. but I reached at around 1:00 p.m. LOL!
And I seriously sweating to the mad level >.<
Howey is even late, she claimed to be the earliest but she only arrived at 1:40 p.m. LMAO!!

We have chosen a table near to the wall because we need to use the socket for the lappy.
And I need to charge my phone LOL. Speaking of which, I think it's time to get a powerbank for myself =.=

There is a cozy corner inside the shop, with sofas and cushions, available for customers to be seated.

They have these cute mini coffee cups displayed at the counter. I wondered was it limited edition cups or they are just the Shop Owner's collection? =)

This is how the counter looked like. With all sorts of coffee maker machines.
And of course, all sorts of different kind of coffee beans.

The crowd today was awesome, there were only one or two empty tables left! =)
And most of them are with families, since it's a Sunday.

I have ordered a Tomato and Cheese Pizza for myself.
This one costs me RM 12.00.
I personally love Tomato and Cheese very much, especially when you mentioned Raw Tomatoes.
I can munch on a whole bowl of it.

This is my Fresh Apple Juice without ice.
The price of this juice is RM 7.00 per glass.
Sounded kinda sad when you cannot have coffee drinks in a coffee background place right?

Irean ordered herself a Pregio All-Day Breakfast Menu.
Looks kinda small portion for me, with chunks of salads, potato, bacon and hard-boiled egg.

Jjang!! This is the main character of the day I assumed!!
Ordered by Howey, a Caffe Latte, which costs her RM 10.00 per cup.
The smell of it was intense strong when it was served on the table.
Both of the girls immediately took photos of it and hurried have a sip for the tongue tasting.
I must say I give 5/5 for the well-done coffee handwork.

For a heavy eater like me, I seriously LOLed at the portion of the pizza being served.
Such thin slice of it! I actually finished eating it in two bites LMAO!!!
It took me moments to finish up the Pizza Hut version but this one is amazingly under portioned.

Thank you dear stomach for being so hungry today, we decided to order another piece of Pizza.
This one is Spicy Pepperoni Pizza which costs RM 15.00.
Again, it's in super thin crust version. LOL.
The taste was not bad though.

After all the pizzas and coffees, my stomach still cannot get enough of food.
I decided to check out the counter and I spotted Apple Crumble!!
I have always love Apple and I can't resist to order one for myself.

They first warmed up the Crumble and then served it with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream on top to finish it off.
You have to eat the both of it together, and I just love how the hot and cold combination creates the magical taste inside my mouth.
Most amazing fusion ever om noms noms =P
But beware if you are not a fan of sweet stuffs, because this Apple Crumble is seriously sweet!

Nothing tasted better than to finish our meal with a sweet dessert.
And we stayed back for our never-ending girls talk.
Hanging around for two more hours and we only realized all three of us coincidentally wore black clothes today!

Sharing a wefies photo of us as the ending of this post!
Being the most nearest to the camera is me, followed by Howey as the middle one, and Irean at the most right end =)
Definitely will recommend this place if you are looking for a cup of quality brewed coffee and awesome Apple Crumble Dessert =)

Foodie #11 : >Braised Pork Rice & Roselle Tea >Open Kitchen

It's Saturday and I just finished attending my sunset mass in Sacred Heart Cathedral Church.
Mum was lazy to cook dinner because it's just the two of us at home tonight.
So we decided to settle our dinner outside before heading home =)

I couldn't think of anywhere along the route back home, so I ended up bringing my mum to Metrotown again.
Gosh, this place is like my second home now, I literally came here every single night.

We decided to try Open Kitchen today, which is situated just beside Lucy's Kitchen.
I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant, it was kinda silent inside because there aren't any customers inside except us.
It feels odd as Lucy's Kitchen is full house next door. lol.

Anyway, I ordered Braised Pork on Pearl Rice with servings of Organic Vegetables and Pork Rib Broth, which costs RM 9.50 for it.
But due to the finishing of Organic Vegetables that night, the owner of the shop replace me with a herbal egg and some carrots plus cabbages.

They also serve some small side dishes along with the meal.
They gave me brinjals and nyiong taufu.

The set meal comes with a free flower tea so I have chosen Roselle Tea for myself.

Overall, it was a healthy dinner and everything tasted good.
It felt like home-cooked meal with not much saltyness and oilyness.
Superb and suit my taste-bud perfectly =)

The shop owner and his workers are very polite and they gave very fast service.
I would give it a 5/5 for the place, service and food.
And definitely will come back again =)

Dance #3 : Free Zumba Gold in Wisma Wanita

Zumba!! Zumba!! Shake it all the way!!
Was addicted to Zumba lately and I actually spread the virus to my mum! hahaha.

Was flipping through the Daily Express Newspaper and happened to see that they will hold this free Zumba Gold in Wisma Wanita every Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Never would I expect my mum to actually enquire about Zumba Gold.

Seems like she is interested to give it a try? Alright mum, I will bring you to try it out =)

Today's instructor is Aya Nina, which is Julian's lovely wife.
I have always known her as one of the organiser for the KK annual Hobbycon event in December.
Only last year, I have found out that she is also a Zumba instructor.

LOL at my shy mum, I asked her to go more in front so that she can see what is the instructor is doing on stage.
She keep ignore and stand at the most back of the hall =.=

Zumba Gold includes easy-to-follow moves and Latin music party-like atmosphere specially to suit the needs of the active older crowd and as well as for those who has just started their fitness journey.
Zumba Gold is designed to be approachable by all populations, regardless of fitness level.
Movements are broken down in a slow and manageable manner which intended to move a little and have a lot of fun, even if you don't perform each moves perfectly.

The biggest difference between Zumba Gold and other Zumba classes is that Zumba Gold is done at a much lower intensity.
It's just as much as fun, only that it is not that fast!

Check out the short clip of Zumba Gold session that I have captured =)

And, of course, not forgetting a quick selca of myself. hahaha.
I was too tired and sleepy in this Saturday morning, I haven't fully awaken yet. LOL.

So what are you waiting for?
For those of you who wanted to start getting fit, but yet you are worried that you might not be able to follow up the fast pace of  the normal Zumba Fitness session.
This is the place to be =)

They have different Zumba Instructor to guide you on stage every week.
Some of which are well known : Zin Yumiko, Zin Yoshie, Zin Aya Nina, Zin Chin Yee, etc.

And surely for those who wanted to bring your mum or your aunt or even your granny, please welcomed them to try out this free session of Zumba Gold.
Every Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Wisma Wanita.

If you do not know where is Wisma Wanita, it is situated just right before Gunther's German Home Restaurant, and right after the junction to Fook Luk Siew, opposite the Malay cemetery, before the Japanese cemetery in Likas.

This is the image of the building.
Don't worry the place is obvious to the eyes even from the main road, I don think you will missed it.

Start sweating and draining all your unwanted fluid out from your body!
You don't need to pay to get a healthier and fit body =)

Foodie #9 : >Lau Sar Pau >Asian Pasta >Lucy's Kitchen Metrotown

Another night for dance practice.
After yogalates session, I went down to Lucy's Kitchen again for dinner.
Tonight, my Triple K Sister, Howey is around to accompany me =)
At least, I don't feel like a lone ranger tonight, LOL.

Howey ordered Asian Pasta which costs her RM 15.90.
From what you can see, they are serving spaghetti noodles in asian sauce.
Howey said the sauce is more like Tom Yam sauce, with seafoods.
I have tried a scoop taste of it, and it's kinda new for pasta dish.
It's a fusion of spicy + salty + sour.
For me, it's so so because I am not a Tom Yam lover.
For Howey, she loves it.

Meanwhile, I ordered Lau Sar Pau for myself.
I do not know why, but ever since my prince charming ordered this for the first time last two months here in Lucy's Kitchen, I had actually fall in love with it.

One tray of Lau Sar Pau will only costs you RM 5.90.
But sadly to say, they only serve you three small buns.
Which I actually finished everything inside my stomach in 5 minutes. HAHAHA!

I love how soft the paus actually are.
And the JUST-NICE texture of the custard inside.
I am not a fan of custard, but when they made it in a mouth watering texture like this, I just couldn't help it. LOL.

It's good for tea break snack or breakfast.
If you are a fan of paus or mini buns, do give it a try =)

Foodie #8 : >Soya Bean Drink >Spaghetti Carbonara >Lucy's Kitchen Metrotown

Jjang! I am at Lucy's Kitchen Metrotown again. LOL.
This time is for my Form 6 little gathering and we have planned to have dinner together tonight.
So I shall try out other menu.

The hot Soya Bean Drink cost me RM 2.90
It is just some ordinary homemade soya bean drink, nothing special about it.
Just that I don't like the way they added sugar / sweetener into the drink.
I am a regular soya bean drinker, that's why I can obviously taste the extra sweetness when they serve me my drink.
Other than that, it is all good.

The Spaghetti Carbonara cost me RM 12.90
The taste was good. Not too creamy and not too dry.
It was okay for my tastebud.
The only thing was it doesn't have much extra ingredients inside.
As you can see from the photo itself, they only include some small slices of sausages and some slices of mushroom.
So, if you are a heavy-taste kind of person, I don't think you would like this.

My tired selca of the day. LOL.
Showing you those ugly tired puffy panda eyes again. HAHAHA

These are some of my Form 6 mates. Only 4 of them manage to show up after all the calls and messages were done. LOL.
Sometimes, I am very lazy to organize such meetup because I never manage to get a full class of people to turn up.
But, this time I get to meet the only male student in our class, whom I have not seen in 6 long years.
And apart from that, it is very hard to have June in town as she is currently working in Singapore.
With Teacher Shirney showing up as well, I am kinda satisfied anyway. LOL.

Haven't seen these people for ages. Haha.

After the gathering ended, I have my dance practice upstairs at Baila Studio.
While two of my closest and best form 6 friends, Albsah & June sat and watch at the studio bench.
How funny of them to use my phone for a selca when I was in the practice session. LOL!

Foodie #7 : >Ham + Cheese Sandwich & Fries >Hot Jasmine Tea >Lucy's Kitchen Metrotown

After having yoga class tonight, it was an unexpected surprise that I was requested to stay back for performance practice by Aunty Shiela.
This will be my first performance with Baila =)

Feeling excited and nervous at the same time, my stomach is screaming for hunger.
So I decided to grab a bite at Lucy's Kitchen downstairs.
It is situated in between Open Kitchen and Bistro KK Metrotown.

I ordered myself a ham cheese sandwich and fries set which costs me RM 6.90.
The price is a bit pricy for a toast set in my opinion.
I know I wasn't supposed to eat fries because it's heaty and unhealthy I usually get sick easily after consuming it.
But I am actually a french fries lover. LOL.

Overall it was good and satisfying.
The presentation and appearance of the food is just nice.
Except the oversized white plate they are using. HAHAHA.
But I guessed that is Lucy's Kitchen signature =)
Because you can see all the big white plates are even used as a decoration on the wall of the restaurant.

I haven't had fries in such a long time I literally drool over my fries, and I actually finished everything in about 5-10 minutes? LOL
The bread was okay as well. I wouldn't say it is very good because it is just a normal toast with the ordinary ham and cheese inside.

I've ordered hot Jasmine Tea as well which costs me RM 2.90.
Tasted just nice with the right blend of the flower and tea scent and taste.

Light dinner was satisfying to my stomach and full.
Now, it's time to dance =)
